The Scottish Cities Alliance attended and participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress.

The Smart City Expo World Congress is a global event which brings together the world’s leading experts on smart cities. Business leaders, cities, innovative thinkers and key decision makers from all around the world gather to share insights, results and strategies for tackling the challenges facing cities globally. The Expo showcased the latest thinking on Technology, IoT, Smart Society, Governance, Energy, Sustainability, Mobility, Resilience, Urban Planning and Security.

The Scottish Cities Alliance secured a speaking platform at the congress and presented the Smart Cities Scotland work and focus to date including; the development of the Smart Cities Scotland identity and Smart Cities Scotland Blueprint, the Nesta CITIES Scotland research and key projects from the 8th City programme.
