Following the success of our two offsite events at Mipim Cannes 2017, this year we are hosting a series of events to showcase the £7.5bn investor ready propositions that our pitchbook has to offer.

Investing in Innovation - 13 March 8am - 10am

The Alliance invited guests to ‘Invest in Innovation’ in partnership with the Scottish Government. This breakfast event highlighted key innovative projects being carried out throughout the Scottish Cities and a keynote speech from the Scottish Minister of Business, Innovation and Energy.

Smart Cities Breakfast rountable discussion - 14 March 8am - 10am

Our Smart Cities Breakfast round table discussion took place on Wednesday 14th March with attendance of representatives from leading European cities that use smart technology to enhance cities. This collaborative discussion was moderated by Mark Jenkinson, City Director at Siemens, the leading global engineering and technology services company. Cities such as Vantaa, Stockholm, London, Perth/Dundee were confirmed attendees, and participation from Paul Wheelhouse, Minister of the Scottish Parliament.

Investment briefing: Opportunities in Scotland - 15 March 8.30am - 11am

On Thursday 15th March, the SCA showcased opportunities in Scotland at an investment briefing ran in partnership with Property EU.

Sustainable Cities panel discussion - 15 March 12noon - 2pm

Working in partnership with Arup, the Scottish Cities discussed how the cities are successfully transitioning to a low carbon future to ensure the future economic prosperity of Scotland. Representatives for the SCA were:

  • Serge Merone, Investment Manager, Perth & Kinross Council
